How to Apply
Step 1. Submit Application
To begin, please complete our online application form. As part of the application, you will be required to upload the following supporting documentation:
- Most recent report card
- Year-end report cards from the previous two academic years
- Birth certificate or passport
Prefer a paper application?
Download and complete the PDF application form, then submit it along with the required documents to our Admissions Office at admissions@metroprep.com.
Step 2. Student Interview
Once your application and supporting documents have been reviewed, our Admissions team will contact you to schedule an interview. Interviews may be conducted in person at our campus or via video conference.
The interview allows us to get to know your child better, focusing on their academic goals, strengths, and areas for growth. It’s also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about our school.
Step 3. Student Assessment
Applicants to Grades 7–9
All students applying for Grades 7 through 9 are required to complete our entrance assessment. The assessment covers the following areas:
- Mathematics
- Vocabulary
- Spelling
- Grammar
- Reading comprehension
This assessment is diagnostic in nature and helps us understand the student’s academic strengths and areas for growth. A strong personal statement explaining how the applicant will benefit from and contribute to the Metro Prep community may exempt them from the entrance exam.
Note: Students who have taken the SSAT are not required to complete the entrance assessment.
Applicants to Grades 10–12
Admission for students entering Grades 10, 11, and 12 is determined based on a review of the student’s academic transcripts, application materials, and the admissions interview.
Step 4. Admissions Decision
After carefully reviewing your application, supporting documents, test results (if applicable), and the interview, we will notify you of our admissions decision. If your child is accepted, we’ll guide you through the next steps to officially welcome them into the Metro Prep community.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about Metro Prep, please contact our Admissions Office at admissions@metroprep.com or +1 (416) 285-0870. We’re here to assist you every step of the way.
