2

Initial interview

After receiving your completed application and documents, our admissions team will contact you within two business days to schedule an interview.

The interview, conducted either in person or online, will focus on your child’s academic goals, personality, and compatibility with Metro Prep’s unique learning environment. This conversation is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the school.

3

Student Assessment

Grades 7–9

Students applying for grades 7 to 9 are required to take our entrance examination, which assesses skills in mathematics, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and reading comprehension (this test is optional for students who have completed the SSAT).

The exam is diagnostic and is designed to help us understand your child’s strengths. At Metro Prep, no student is ever defined by a score.

Grades 10–12

For students entering grades 10, 11, and 12, admission is based on current academic records.

4

Admissions Decision

After reviewing your application, documents, test results (if applicable), and the interview, we will notify you of our decision. If accepted, you’ll be invited to proceed with the next steps to finalize your child’s enrolment at Metro Prep.
