Theatre Productions
At Metro Prep, modern theatre is alive and well. Drama is offered as part of the curriculum starting in Middle School and offered right through to Grade 12. The popularity of the drama program has led to the creation of the Metro Prep Theatre Club.
Production & Studio Work
Over the years, students and faculty have worked together to build a fully operational black-box studio theatre in which drama classes and full-scale school productions take place. The intimacy of the space works well with a modern approach to acting, directing, and design, and students have access to a “hands-on” approach to the essential elements of theatre production. From “minimalism” to “spectacle”, “edgy” to “avant-garde”, theatre at Metro Prep moves into the future with passion and a sense of artistic responsibility.
