GENIUS Program
Accepting applications for September 2025, students at Metro Prep can join the GENIUS Program, Toronto’s first high school biotechnology curriculum. This program provides students with hands-on experience using advanced technologies such as DNA sequencing, PCR, and genetic engineering. Through expert-led lessons and practical lab work, students will gain the skills needed to succeed in post-secondary education and careers in biotechnology, genetics, medicine, and related fields.

Course Description

All students enrolled at Metropolitan Preparatory Academy are eligible for the GENIUS Program. There is no separate application process—students simply choose GENIUS courses during the annual course selection.
