Required Supporting Documents
You will be asked to provide the following documents together with your application:
Academic Transcripts: Official transcripts or school reports for the current and previous two years (translated into English if necessary).
Applicant’s Passport: A photocopy of the student’s passport photo page.
- Proof of English Proficiency (if available): TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent test results (for non-native English speakers).

If any of these documents are not available at the time of submission, they can be submitted later via email, mail, or fax. For any questions or further assistance, please contact our Admissions Team at admissions@metroprep.com.
Step 2: Interview
Once your application and supporting documents have been reviewed, our admissions team will contact you within two business days to schedule an interview. Interviews may be conducted in person at our campus or via video conference.
This interview is an opportunity for us to get to know your child better and to discuss how Metro Prep can meet their academic goals.
Step 3. Assessment
Applicants to Grades 7–9
All students applying for Grades 7 through 9 are required to complete our entrance assessment. The assessment covers the following areas:
- Mathematics
- Vocabulary
- Spelling
- Grammar
- Reading comprehension
This assessment is diagnostic in nature and helps us understand the student’s academic strengths and areas for growth.
Note: Students who have taken the SSAT are not required to complete the entrance assessment.
Applicants to Grades 10–12
Admission for students entering grades 10, 11, and 12 is based on current academic records, so no entrance examination is required.
Step 4. Admissions Decision
Within two weeks after your interview, we will notify you of our decision via email. If accepted, you will receive an official Letter of Acceptance (LOA), which is required for your Canadian study permit application.
To secure your child’s spot at Metro Prep, a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $2,000 is required to guarantee your child’s place for the upcoming school year.
Step 5. Prepare for Arrival
Whether your child is coming from abroad or already resides in Toronto, there are several important steps to complete before they begin their journey at Metro Prep.
