On Tuesday and Wednesday, we attended the SSAF Ultimate Co-Ed Frisbee competition at Sheppard’s Bush Soccer Fields, for both elementary and U20 levels. Both groups competed well and enjoyed the challenge of putting into action skills they don’t use that often, along with some great team work and a lot of hard work.
The elementary group increased their scoring over the day, as they found their feet, putting together some nice team work until exiting at the group stage. The U20’s started strongly, winning both pool games and beating eventual champions, People’s Christian Academy en-route to a semi-final win and re-match with PCA in the final. Eventually, the superior team play of our opponents won out as we narrowed the score at the end to make it a tight ending.
Well done to all athletes, especially the girls who had to play a lot of minutes to ensure we met the rule requirement of two on at all times. Thanks also to Jason and Vlad for your support of the students across both days.
Go Team Metro!
