The Senior Boys Basketball team had a successful weekend in Georgetown, Ontario.
Their tournament began with an opening-round game versus Mississauga’s Clarkson Secondary School on Friday night and the Predators won 67-54, with Emmanuel C leading all scorers with 24 points.
On Saturday afternoon, the Predators faced a large team from Halton’s Christ The King and defeated them in a convincing fashion, winning 74-34. Marko M led the way, hitting nine 3-pointers and scoring 34 points.
In the championship final, Metro Prep faced off versus Mississauga’s Stephen Lewis and set the tone early, allowing only 12 first half points. Our players proved to be too much for Stephen Lewis, and the Predators won the championship 73-42.
Emmanuel was named a tournament all-star, and Marko was named tournament MVP. Metro Prep’s record improves to 12 wins and 3 losses as they look to continue their progress next weekend at the Seneca Sting High School Tournament.
Excellent job!
